Visual identity

In collaboration with the Oslo-based design agency Superblaise, we have developed a new visual identity for the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra in 2017.  The new identity will provide the basis of our future visual communication and with this, we wish to create recognition across our various medias - from printed to digital platforms.

The new logo is composed of five elements that depict both the musicians' movements as they perform a musical performance, and reflect the expressions and emotion of the music. Everything from the long and smooth line to the short, angular and more intense element - they are aimed at capturing the visual essence of the music's abstract expression and dynamics and movement and this is enhanced by the active use of gradation in the elements.
