Concluding the residency as our guest artistic director in 2019, conductor Arvid Engegård takes the centre stage with Tine Thing Helseth as soloist. Soon after this concert, he will lead us through our long awaited Northern Norway tour. 

Tine and the NCO have had fruitful collaborations over the years since her debut with the orchestra in 2006, and together, we invite you to an exciting mixture of the old and the new.

The Academy Award winning composer, Elliot Goldenthal, has written a trumpet concerto especially with Tine in mind: For Trumpet and Strings will finally be unveiled to our audiences with its distinctive, evocative personality and an ample opportunity for the soloist to improvise. 

The NCO aims to take music to different corners of Norway, and our tour this time around will take us to Harstad, Narvik, Leknes and Bodø as well as Biri and Moss.
