From the virtuosic music by Jan Erik Mikalsen along with a visually striking scenography, arises a fantasy world that inspires both imagination and wonder in children as well as in adults. 

​

In collaboration with graduates from the Royal College of Arts in London, the violinist Ingerine Dahl has created this musical fairytale that takes you into an abstract universe of sound, light, costumes and movement. She is joined by a string quintet and percussionist of the NCO. 

The concert was premiered at the Bergen International Festival, and is a co-production with the festival, Stavanger Concert Hall and Norwegian Chamber Orchestra.

Solitude is a compelling staged concert suitable for children over four years of age.
