Virtuosic, playful and passionate - A New Year's Concert with Alexander Sitkovetsky

We’re ringing in the new year with a vibrant musical celebration! Beloved violinist Alexander Sitkovetsky returns to the stage in an evening filled with energy, virtuosity, and joyful surprises. He takes the spotlight in Paganini’s dazzling Moses Variations – a tour de force of brilliance and charm – while members of the orchestra also shine as featured soloists throughout the evening.

The program is a feast of styles and emotions: from the fiery intensity of Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence to the sultry elegance of Piazzolla’s Oblivion and the dramatic flair of Golijov’s Muertes del Ángel. You’ll also be treated to the lush romanticism of Atterberg, melodic gems by Carl Nielsen, and toe-tapping folk-inspired tunes in inventive arrangements by the Danish String Quartet.

A night where classical meets folk, tradition meets surprise – and every note welcomes the new year with joy.
