Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Serenade No. 10 in B Major, Gran Partita

How often do you get a chance to hear Mozart's monumental Gran Partita performed in such a beautiful hall and with such distinguished musicians?

Mozart's Serenade nr. 10 is probably the correct title for the piece, where the twelve wind instruments and double bass offer a glorious explosion of Harmonie music against a backdrop of a vibrant tapestry of sound.

Alongside such a masterpiece, what better way to capture the spirit of Classicism than to set it aside Beethoven's Quintet for Piano and Winds? Written in 1796 while Beethoven was on his concert tour to Prague and Berlin, Op. 16 offers a glimmer of Beethoven at his most graceful and refined. This delightful miniature reveals not only his mastery in composition but also performing prowess before he set out on his voyage of symphonic composition.
