Full concert programme is yet to be disclosed, but we can guarantee an effervescent evening that juxtaposes an array of musical traditions around the world. Among them, Astor Piazzolla's Four Seasons with the young star violinist Johan Dalene takes us through the four seasons in Buenos Aires.

 

The 18-year-old winner of the Carl Nielsen International Competition, Dalene is already making an impact on the international concert scene performing with leading orchestras around the world.

Piazzolla initially conceived this piece as standalone compositions rather than one single piece, although he performed  them often together.  They were originally scored for his quintet of violin, piano, electric guitar, double bass and bandonéon, and it was later arranged for solo violin and strings, with several quotations from Vivaldi's famous work.
