We invite you to a night of radiant string sound and masterful artistry as the acclaimed violinist Maria WÅ‚oszczowskamakes her debut with the orchestra. With a rapidly rising international profile as both soloist and leader, she is one of Europe’s most compelling musical voices – and this concert offers a rare chance to experience her extraordinary musicianship up close.

The program opens with Grażyna Bacewicz’s Divertimento for Strings – a rhythmically vibrant and colorful work from one of Poland’s foremost 20th-century composers. Drawing on her own Polish roots, WÅ‚oszczowska brings a personal and insightful touch to this energetic masterpiece.

As soloist in J.S. Bach’s Violin Concerto in D minor, WÅ‚oszczowska takes center stage in one of the Baroque era’s most expressive and technically intricate violin concertos. Expect a performance full of nuance, clarity, and emotional depth.

The evening concludes with the sweeping Romanticism of Mendelssohn’s String Quartet No. 2, performed here in a rich arrangement for string orchestra. Charged with lyrical beauty, intensity, and emotional depth, this passionate music takes on new life as WÅ‚oszczowska and the orchestra unite in a powerful finale.
